About Us:
Lyn Younes specializes in advising cultural institutions and museums on education, communication and the interpretation of their mission and collections.
Over a period of nearly 30 years she has worked with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Asia Society, the Museum of the City of New York and other international organizations. Since 1977, she held a variety of positions in the curatorial, education and volunteer departments of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was Chairman of Volunteers and currently serves on the Executive Committee of Volunteers and the Advisory Committee for the Timeline of Art History. Her involvement with different departments, museum staff, and the public has enabled her to assess and evaluate cultural organizations from a broad base of experience.
She holds a B.A. in Asian Studies and Museum Studies from New York University; an M.A. in Art History and Archaeology from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Columbia University where she was also a PhD Candidate for Chinese and Japanese Art History.
